Sean is the Neurotech Lead and a Venture Partner / EIR at Protocol Labs. He is a computational neuroscientist, clinical psychiatrist, and entrepreneur dedicated to the intersection of neurotech and NeuroAI.
Sean co-founded Herophilus, a biotech company using human-derived stem cell cultures and machine learning for drug discovery, and Neuromatch, a non-profit democratizing science education. He previously led a computational neuroscience lab as an assistant professor at Columbia University. He holds both an MD and PhD from Columbia University.
